Ron Rideout, Technology Coordinator for Christ the King School, is at the school on a consultant basis three days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. He is also “on call” if problems arise on Monday or Friday. In addition to maintaining the computer systems, he works closely with the teachers and students on integrating technology into the curriculum.

The computer lab has 20 workstations for the students to use. The computers are networked and have Internet access. The Middle School has a computer in each classroom which is also part of the school-wide network and has Internet access.

We are presently making some huge changes in an effort to upgrade our technology capabilities. In the very near future, we will be installing 20+ new computers in the lab. Some of the present lab computers will be used to create a “mini-lab” in the Middle School. The two buildings - elementary school and middle school - have been connected with fiber optic cable to provide faster and more reliable connectivity between the two buildings and their access to the Internet. We will also use some of the present lab computers in individual classrooms so that each room will have a computer that is part of the network and has Internet access.
