Grades 7 & 8 Language Arts: Chuck Johnston
Welcome to 7th and 8th Grade Language Arts! My name is Mr. Johnston, and I am excited to join the faculty and staff at Christ the King School. I taught sixth grade language arts for nine years in North Carolina, and I taught seventh and eighth grade language arts in New Hampshire last year. Milton, Vermont is my hometown, but I now call the Upper Valley my home.
My official title is teacher; however, I often run my classroom as a mentor and moderator. My goal is for my students to take stock in their own learning. Through literature circles and Socratic Seminars, students take responsibility for and participate in the learning process.
I feel very blessed to be a part of this faculty and Christ the King School. May God’s blessings rain down on us all as we embark on a new school year! I am so looking forward to this adventure in learning!
